What do we use?
We utilize SDL607 Nuofang monitors that measure PM2.5 and PM10. These monitors are portable and lasts up to 8 hours. The sensors are constantly calibrated and maintained so that they are always accurate in their data.
What do our monitors measure?
Our monitors measure PM2.5 and PM 10. PM is short for Particulate Matter, tiny particles that are in the air and breathed in by our nose. The numbers 2.5 and 10 represent the diameter of the particles, 2.5 representing particles with diameters less than 2.5 micrometers and 10 representing particles with diameters less than 10 micrometers.
Why is PM2.5 and PM10 important?
The small size of these particles allow them to enter our body and affect its functions. PM2.5 is small enough to penetrate our lungs and go into our bloodstream, increasing the risk of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Why PM10 may not be small enough to cause such harm, it can still enter our nose and irritate our airways.
When you rent a monitor, it will automatically come with a 3D-printed case and an adjustable strap, allowing you to wear it around your arms or waist to monitor air quality during physical activities or travel.
